Start with the shoes and the right layers
First dance clinic? The packing list is shorter than you think, but a few small things decide whether the day feels great or long. Here is what our staff tells every new participant to bring.
Dress like you would for practice
Fitted top, leggings or shorts, hair pulled back and secured the way you would wear it to perform. Bring extra hair ties and bobby pins - somebody always needs them. A light warm-up layer for the beginning of the day and a spare shirt for the afternoon block are both worth the space in your bag.
The little things dancers forget
A full water bottle, a real snack, and a small notebook. The notebook is the one participants underrate - you will get specific corrections on your technique and your performance quality, and those cues fade by the drive home unless you write them down. Put your name on your bag, your shoes and your water bottle.
